When you walk in and there are snowflakes made out of the bride and groom's names, you know some serious love went into this reception...
Anna + Ethan celebrated their recent wedding a few weeks ago with friends and family in their university town of Buena Vista, VA. Everything was cozy about it--which can't always be said for a church gym, but these guys shooed any reminder of basketball hoops and three point lines with armchairs, low lights, and the smells of hot cocoa, cider and fresh cookies. It was like stepping into a snow day from yesteryear as the vinyl scratched it's loving melodies into the Cultural Hall with curtains of snowy twinkle lights highlighting snapshots of Anna and Ethan through their courtship. I'm told the scores of homemade snowflakes (found everywhere from the front entrance to the cocoa thermos) were made over the past few months by Ethan and Anna and their friends any time they sat down to watch a movie on Sunday nights. What a labor of love. I hope every snowflake can represent sweet, simple and tender labors of love you give to each other over the years.
