It's been over a year and a half since I saw all of these Taylors together under one roof! I imagine Ann, like any mother of four, would tell you it's a feat to get all of them in the car with all of the precautionary items in case of car sickness, hunger pains, or just growing wiggles. It's hard enough for me with two fully grown adults! Luckily, all traveling Taylors prepared well this year and we got an early Christmas surprise!
As my hubs and I were preparing ourselves for Christmas travel plans to Oregon and an immediate trek to Virginia for ringing in the new year, we learned that not only David but Ann and the kids would also be coming to see Mimi and Pawpaw for the Holidays! What a holiday treat! So I double checked I had my essential camera equipment and in the back of my mind, I hatched a plan to surreptitiously snap enough .RAW material to affix to my fridge. Little did I know, Ann and Mimi were already warming plans of their own for a renewed family photo! So we dashed out into the record-breaking cold for a spell and snapped these before the "Cheese" started to rattle and fog around our faces. Even including shivers, I hope you'll agree the venture was well worth the time. After all, this is why we put the photos on our kitchen fridge or why Mimi has them in a neat little row in the main hallway of the house: because you want to see family around your home even when they don't live close or schedules don't line up or money is tight.
Because you may not choose your family all the time, but family is a choice to love. Choose your love, love your choice.
